"Coffee," a zombie-like voice groaned behind Blaine. He turned.
"Kurt? What happened to you?" He looked as if he hadn't slept in years.
"This is your fault," he accused.
"Blaine keep you up last night?" Wes teased as he passed them holding a bagel. David followed him, 'tut-tut-ing' Blaine.
"Shame on you, Blaine. You know the dorm rules."
"For your information," he said. "I was in my room all night."
"In that case," Wes replied, still walking away. "Shame on you, Kurt. You're not supposed to leave your room after nine."
        "That's not what I-"
"It's okay, Blaine," David yelled because they were on the other side of coffee shop at this point. "Wes and I really don't want to hear the details of Kurt and your sex life!" Heads turned to Blaine and Kurt and he blushed more than he ever had in his life.
"Oh my god," he said to Kurt. "I am so sorry. It's their mission in life to embarrass me. I've learned to live with that, but now they're dragging you into it…I'm going to have a serious talk with those two." Kurt was making odd little gasping noises and for a horrifying moment he thought Kurt might be crying. However, when he looked up, he was surprised to find that Kurt was actually laughing. He wasn't in hysterics on anything, but it was clear he found the situation amusing.
"Do you think the store people will give us coffee faster if they're scared we'll start making out or something?"
"You're...laughing? You're not embarrassed?" He shrugged.
"I'm so tired I don't even know where I am right now." Blaine couldn't help but laugh at this.
"You, are amazing." He hadn't meant to say it out loud, it had just slipped out. He shot a worried glance at Kurt, but he didn't seem to mind, or notice.
"I would be more amazing with some coffee."
"Well we're here now, so fear not." They ordered and received their coffee. Kurt downed his before they'd even reached the table and immediately looked better. "So," he said after they were seated. "Exactly why was your exhaustion my fault?"
"You told the girls I was sad."
        "Oh…I'm afraid I'm not following."
"They snuck into Dalton last night and woke me up."
"Wow. I didn't think they'd do that. And you were up all night?"
"Yeah. They were tea-we were busy…" Blaine narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "What time is it?"
"It is," he looked down at his watch. "Eight forty-three." Kurt nodded as though this meant something. Suddenly, the music in Lima Bean got loud. Or rather, louder than it usually was. "Wow," Blaine said. "Someone's tampering with the volume." But the voice that began the song sounded like it was coming from behind him. And it sounded very familiar. He turned around.

Okay Lima Bean,
Kurt Hummel,
and me.
You ready?

Blaine blinked in surprise.
"Kurt, look. It's Santana!" But Kurt didn't seem surprised. "Wait. Did she just say your name?" Santana started to sing

Seems like everybody's got a price.
I wonder how they sleep at night?
When the sale comes first and the truth comes second
Just stop for a minute and smile.
Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so damn mysterious.
Got shades on your eyes and your heels so high that you can't even have a good time.

Brittany appeared beside Santana and sang with her.

Everybody look to your left
Everybody look to your right

Santana took a step forward.

Can you feel that?
Yeah
We're paying with love tonight.

Suddenly the New Directions girls appeared everywhere, singing along. Looking across the table, Blaine saw that Kurt was singing too-dancing in his chair as he did.

It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag
'Aint about the
Cha-ching, cha-ching
'Aint about the
Ba-bling, ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tags

Rachel twirled past them, grabbing Kurt's hand and pulling him up. Blaine watched as he started to sing.

We need to take it back in time
When music made us all unite
And it wasn't low blows and video hoes
Am I the only one getting tired?
Why is everybody so obsessed?
Money can't buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now. Guarantee we'll be feeling alright.

Brittany danced up beside him and Rachel.

Everybody look to your left

The three of them slid to the left.

Everybody look to your right

They slid to the right.

Can you feel that?
Yeah

Kurt looked at Blaine.

We're paying with love tonight.

Blaine's insides flipped and Kurt turned away to dance with his old teammates.

It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag
'Aint about the
Cha-ching, cha-ching
'Aint about the
Ba-bling, ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tags

Mercedes stood on a table.

Yeah yeah
Well, keep the price tag
And take the cash back
Just give me six strings and a half stack
And you can, can keep the cars
Leave me the garage
And all I...
Yes all I need are keys and guitars

Brittany stepped up on the table too, and took over.

And guess what, in 30 seconds I'm leaving to Mars
Yeah we leaving across these undefeatable odds
It's like this man, you can't put a price on a life
We do this for the love so we fight and sacrifice everynight

The two girls began to sing together.

So we aint gon stumble and fall never
Waiting to see, I've seen a sign of defeat uh uh
So we gon keep everyone moving their feet
So bring back the beat and then everyone sing

Everyone joined in, Rachel belting out the chorus on a higher note than the other girls.

It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag
'Aint about the
Cha-ching, cha-ching
'Aint about the
Ba-bling, ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tags

Blaine watched as Kurt danced and laughed with his friends.

It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag
'Aint about the
Cha-ching, cha-ching
'Aint about the
Ba-bling, ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tags

They all stopped moving and sang 'Ahh', except for Mercedes who was showing her vocal running talents.

Yeah
Ooh
Forget about the price tag

The song ended and the coffee shop clapped. The girls congratulated each other on a job well done, before hugging Kurt and leaving. He came back over to Blaine, who was still in shock, and sat down.
"Why?" was the only word that managed to get out. Kurt grinned.
"Practice, bonding, fun. It's been too long since I sang with those girls. Or girls at all for that matter."
"You really miss them, don't you?" Kurt sighed.
        "Yeah." Blaine sipped his coffee.
"If it wasn't for Karofsky, I'd say you should go back."
"Oh, Karofsky's gone." Blaine nearly choked on his coffee.
        "What?!"
"He left about a month ago."
"Then what are you still doing here?!" Kurt gave him a long look.
"You really don't know?" Blaine swallowed and stared back at Kurt, feeling more nervous than he had in a long time.
"Kurt, that was great," Wes exclaimed, joining their table. "The Warblers should do more stuff like that."
"I think Jeff's looking for you," David said, also sitting down. Blaine glared at both of them, but they didn't seem to notice.
"Oh crap," Kurt said. "I have his math notes! I'll see you later Blaine." He grabbed his bag and ran out of the shop.
        "Bye," Blaine muttered.
"Whoa," Wes said, finally noticing Blaine's glare. "What's with the anger?"
"We were having an important conversation."
        "Oh. Oh."
"Why do you guys hate me?"
"We don't hate you," David said simply.
"You're always embarrassing me in front of Kurt-"
        "But that's fun!"
        "-And you're interrupting crucial conversations-"
"We didn't know the conversation was crucial!"
"-And you're taking Kurt from me as a duet partner."
"Oh come on," David said. "Kurt's got a great voice. Why should you be the only one to benefit from that? And it's not like I'm trying to steal him from you or anything. I have a girlfriend." Wes' head snapped up.
"What?! Who?!" David frowned at him.
"Uh, Jessica. You've only met her about ten times."
"But-but, you said you broke up! You told me you weren't dating her anymore!" David shrugged.
"We got back together. Why are freaking out?"
        "I'm not freaking out."
        "You kind of are."
        "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Tell you what? That you were freaking out?"
"No! That you and Jessica got back together!"
        "I didn't think you'd care. It's not a big deal."
"Not a big-I can't believe you didn't tell me. I thought we were supposed to be best friends." Wes stormed away from the table and David stared after him with his jaw hanging open.
"Aw," Blaine teased. "You guys had a couple fight."
"Shut up, Blaine," David mumbled, standing up. "Hey Wes, wait up!" Blaine was left alone with his thoughts. So it had been safe for McKinley for a month now, yet he was still at Dalton. That had to mean something. That had to mean…..Anything, Blaine told himself. It could mean anything. But still, he couldn't stop himself from wondering. From hoping….
Didn't I promise it would be long? Well, long-ish :p

heeheheehehehheehehehehhehe. this makes me crazy happy. no wonder you read it ( and write it). one thing i noticed though, is you write things like this:

"You really miss them, don't you?" Kurt sighed.

I was really confused for a few seconds before i realized Blaine was posing the question and Kurt was responding.
