Kurt wanted to skip down the hall. Should he do it? It was so tempting, but he might get harassed for it or something. And it would be embarrassing. No doubt he would end up regretting it. Ah, screw it. He had only taken one bound before Mercedes' hand was on his arm, pulling him back to a regular walk.
"Boy, what are you doing," she hissed in his ear.
"Skipping," he said with a huge smile.
"I can see that. Why are smiling like that? Are you on drugs?"
"Maybe," Kurt replied simply. Blaine was kind of like a drug, to him anyway. Mercedes stopped him in the hallway and he turned to face her.
"Is this about Blaine," she demanded, apparently having read his thoughts. Kurt giggled like a five year old and Mercedes eyebrows shot up. "Spill." Kurt shook his head. He hadn't told her, or any of the New Directions, about Blaine's transfer. He just couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the look of shock on their faces.
"You'll find out soon enough," he said mysteriously, heading into the music room singing 'Seasons of Love' to himself.
"What's with him," Puck said as Kurt sat down. Mercedes shrugged.
"He's been like that all day," Rachel said.
"Apparently," Mercedes began, taking a seat next to Kurt. "It's about Blaine."
"Everything's about Blaine with him," Santana commented. Normally, Kurt would have argued, but in his current state of bliss he simply did not care.
"Wow," Finn said. "He really is in a good mood."
"Who is," Mr. Schue asked, entering the room with a folder in his hands.
"Kurt," Mercedes informed him. "Something happened with Blaine."
"Looks like I'm not the only one who didn't tell my friends," Blaine said from the hallway, making heads turn. "You'll understand if I call you a hypocrite now."
"But look at their faces," Kurt replied. "I couldn't resist." Blaine grinned at Kurt who grinned right back.
"Blaine," Mr. Schue said, surprise evident on his face. "What are you doing here?" Blaine smiled.
"I'm here to audition for the glee club." The room filled with confused murmurs.
"While we would love to have you," Mr. Schue began. "McKinley's glee club is for McKinley students only." Blaine's smile widened.
"I transferred this morning." At once all the attention was on Kurt.
        "You didn't tell me?!"
        "Wait, you knew?!"
"Of course he knew! Why do you think he was so happy?"
"Are we sure he's not a spy?"
"Blaine's not like Jesse, he's a good guy."
"Besides, he lost at Regionals. What would he be spying for?"
"How could you not tell us, Kurt?!"
"Guys, guys," Mr. Schue yelled. The students quieted down. "It's an honor to have you, Blaine." Blaine smiled.
"I intend to audition, of course, as you all had to."
"How does he know that," Kurt heart Finn whisper to Rachel.
"Kurt must have told him, of course."
"Don't be silly, Blaine," Kurt spoke above the whispers. "Everybody here has heard you sing. They know how good you are." Blaine shook his head.
"No, no. It's only fair. Mr. Schue, if I may?" Mr. Schue nodded and took a seat. Blaine walked into the room and picked up a guitar, testing the strings before pulling a stool into the center of the room and beginning to play. Now here's the thing; Kurt had known Blaine could play the piano on account of the few notes he'd played during 'Baby it's Cold Outside', but he had had no clue that Blaine also played guitar. Nor had he had any idea how attractive Blaine would look as he played said guitar. And wow, was he ever attractive as his fingers moved across the frets, eyes closed in concentration.

Even though I was blind before,
I've realized there is so much more
And it was always deep down in the core of me
I know it now.

It was a more upbeat song, thankfully. Kurt wasn't sure he'd have been able to handle a slow, romantic one.

Even though it seems too much to take
There's a feeling I can't seem to shake
I feel like I am reading the signs 'cause I know that I'm
Coming around.

I though I wanted someone perfect as could be
When what I needed was the one who was perfect for me.

He glanced up at Kurt who blushed a bit.

Even though it used to seem so wrong.

Brittany and Santana had joined in with some 'ooh shalala's' and Blaine looked at them in surprise, then grinned and kept going.

I've taken you for granted for too long
I'm falling right into the dénouement
And now I'm breaking ground

Even though I felt it from the start
It's only now we're beating with one heart
I'm sure that now is the time 'cause I know that I'm...

As Blaine strummed the instrumental break in the song Kurt realized why he'd picked a fun one instead of one that really showed off his talent. Everyone here already knew he could sing; they'd seen that at Regionals and Sectionals. Now what Blaine was trying to show was that he wasn't just a choreographed Warbler, he was capable of just having fun too.

The sun is starting to shine 'cause I know that I'm...

I'm coming around.

The New Directions clapped and laughed, standing up to go welcome Blaine to the club. He was hugged and patted and his hair (which, Kurt noticed happily, was gel-free) was ruffled several timed. Only Kurt remained seated, beaming proudly at his boyfriend. And when Blaine met his eyes and smiled back at him, Kurt decided that this was going to be the best year ever.
Part 2 :)
Once again just let me know if there's any random numbers and stuff like this '2359;.'
